Dear Mr Read
RE: 123-Reg.
A further self-explanatory email to 123-Reg (fault ticket: 1255190)
EMAIL FROM ALFRED DONOVAN TO 123-Reg.: 17.54: 25 May 2006
Hello Christian
I have tried on three occasions to telephone via the 50p per minute number without getting anyone. The last two calls were within the last few minutes.
A pre-recorded voice of a woman answers saying welcome to 123.Reg etc then gives the warning that the calls cost 50p per minute. The phone then rings for 2 minutes before another message says that no one is available to take the call.
I had wanted to speak to someone before the supposed 6pm cut-off time. It now appears that my website will be down for another day due purely to the incompetence and indifference of your company. Of course 123-Reg has earned well out of the phone calls.
Again I repeat that my comments are directed at your firm, not at you.
Yours sincerely
Alfred Donovan

Mr Read, you are aware that it is essential to keep a website running on a 7/24/365 basis with the absolute minimum of down time. You are now aware of the problems I have had with bandwidth which has brought the website to a stop. It looks like this interruption to service will be run into a second day. I have not bothered to read the relevant terms and conditions as I am sure they rule out any claims for compensation.
In any event my interest is in having the site operational on a reliable basis. It has already been closed two or three times, without any prior notice, due to site maintenance. When the bandwidth closures are added into the equation it means that the site is regularly out of action even though I instantly pay all bills for the service.
I would be most grateful for your intervention before I run out of 50p’s. The last three phone calls probably cost me £3 even though apparently no-one was available to answer the telephone, even in the advertised office hours.
Yours sincerely
Alfred Donovan
