Dear Mr Read

RE: www.tellshell.net

The site went down again on Saturday 16 September 2006 with the usual message: “ERROR:  This blog is on hold because its bandwidth has been exceeded. Please contact your blog provider.”

Up to the point the message appeared, we had already purchased 5 extra GB. We purchased another 1 GB on 16 Sept after the message appeared.

As of today’s date, the bandwidth indicator shows: 5621.3MB.  Consequently unless the site allowance with the Blog Plus package is less than nothing, the site should not have gone down.

I was informed in a phone conversation with one of the 123-Reg.co.uk support staff that there is a 2 GB allowance with the package. If so, that makes the suspension of the service even more inexplicable. We have never been able to obtain any written conformation of what the bandwidth allowance actually is despite countless requests verbally and in writing.

I have never received an acknowledgement from you to any communication I have addressed to you. Even the system for purchasing extra bandwidth was not working properly on Saturday.

In addition we have never been able to cure the fault that prevents anyone entering the URL “tellshell.net” from reaching 123-reg-co-uk instead of our website. It is only accessible via the full URL www.tellshell.net. Again no one responds with an answer or even appears interested.

I have pointed out many times how important it is for a website to run on a 27/7/365 basis i.e. with absolute minimum downtime. But again no one in your management seems interested in providing the promised support service or indeed in even looking into the farcical situation we have put up with for several months.

Yours sincerely
